In this wonderful world of "copycats" I think we'll have to keep the new product releases to ourselves for the moment.

Your safe, I don't believe anyone is trying to market any of the turbo combinations you are selling.

I was actually referring to our new castings and not the current turbo combinations. However, if you look around you'll see more than one retailer that is now offering T04B combinations that doesn't buy from us. It also looks as if Turbonetics is offering a "No Hassle" or "No Questions asked" warranty now. So in the performace business one can either be a leader or a follower. How long will it take before the Holset catches on? What other turbo can be bolted on with an available "Map Width Enhancement" groove?

This groove is machined into the inlet of the compressor housing to allow air to be fed to the second set of blades on the compressor wheel. This increases efficiency and overall air flow by more than 10%.

Just for kicks I'd love to see some tdo5 vs to4b comparison pictures, especially the turbine side.

Guys has anyone had the experience of having their internal gate not shut completely at idle? I talked to Nick from Turbo Trader and he told me he has had a couple of people but the problem was fixed. Oh and i know that by adjusting the actuator rod you could try to solve this but i mean fully closed, with or without the actuator attached to the lever.

Yes sir i did, i was just asking since i spoke to nick and he said a couple of things could have solved the problem, just wanted to know if any one had this happened with any other turbo and if somehow they fixed it. Im very please with your customer service and the turbo should be in your hands the 28th according to my tracking #.

Yes i had the same problem. The wastegate flapper was not staying shut. Infact it was halfway open! LOL. After talking to dave for a while on the phone we concluded that it was the wastegate flapper and i had to take the turbo off and fix it myself. Basically what was happening was it was getting stuck somehow and after i tapped it with a hammer the flapper door closed all the way. This also fixed my late spool problem i was having with this turbo. Anyway heres a pic of what i am talking about

Edit: Found picture here you go :)

ok, great. We'll take care of it and ship it back right away. Its likely an adjustment in the lever or sleeve.

If we knew what size turbine wheel was used on these T04B units, I could give you the measurements and you could compare them that way. I'm guessing they are a Stg. 2 or Stg. 3 wheel. My best guess would be a stg. 2 since most of these units come standard with a .48 a/r housing, no?

Allright I have the following mods.

3 in turbo back exhaust
255 fp
k&n fipk
UICP
660's
ACT 2600

which turbo would be best for me and what else would I need.

How in the hell does THAT post relate to this topic in any fashion, form, or function? Go pick an ET or HP goal, then go see what the guys that are running those ET's have for a turbo at www.dsmtimes.org then pick.

I thought the topic of discussion was (t04b(v-trim) Bolt on Discussion) I believe there is t04b and t04e. I think my question somehow relates to them. 1029TSG seems to help everybody else with their questions.

Also , I was just looking at your homepage and I CAN BET YOU PROBABLY DONT TALK LIKE THAT TO PEOPLE IN PERSON.

It is the topic of discussion. But someone simply asking what's the best turbo for my setup? Might as well ask "what color should i paint my car?" How the hell are we supposed to know. Are we supposed to assume you are ONLY trying to choose between the v-trim or H3 wheel? Since those are the 2 turbos of discussion here. There is no T04E discussion here.

And, yes. I have no problems telling a person I feel they are stupid or asking a stupid question to their face. I speak my mind.

I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one who has asked that question, I didnt see you replying to them acting like a DICK. MAYBE NEXT YOU CAN ASK FOR THE PERSON TO BE MORE SPECIFIC. I SORRY FOR BOTHERING YOU.

I just felt the question was totally off base and had no relevance to the discussion at all. There are tons of threads that could answer your question, or you could have started yet another "what turbo should I get" thread. But to jump in that one the way you did, wasn't necessary.

Have you read any of the posted replies in this topic? Theres alot of people who asked this question with different setups than me. I didnt want to go through all of them to find one similar to mine. So I figured I would just ask. I guess I'll just have to pm 1029TSG to get answer without getting harassed. Thank for your help NOSLO2PT0(fellow dsm'r)

You are wrong about the turbine wheel sir and since you are such as nice person to most of the people on this thread. You can go back and read where they said what the turbine wheel was.

Also this turbos do not come with a .48 a/r housing from garrett. It is alittle bit bigger than that. I believe it is a 1.10 a/r if my memory is correct.

Dave never mentioned the a/r specs for the housing. He just said its between .48 and .68

1.10 a/r? That is neither a T3 or a T4 option from turbonetics. So, when these units are bolted up in their natural use (i.e. truck/tractor), what turbine housing do they usually come with? Closest option is a T4 tangential/divided housing with a 1.15 a/r. That would be one hell of a hot side that's mated to a dinky little cold side.

And I don't feel like reading through 39 pages to find out what turbine wheel this turbo comes with.
