hello i am new to this forum so if this violates any of the rules i apoligize<--(spell check) :) any way i have a 1998 mitsubishi eclipse with a seven bolt main and i was wondering is the stock turbo off a first gen would bolt right on or would i have to buy an adapter kit for it thank you guys for the interest and im looking foward to your replies :dsm:

the search button is your friend!

but you would have to get a different manifold off of a 1st gen but other than that I do belive so.

Just make sure that you do all of your supporting mods and maintanace (sp)

The 14b off a manual 1st gen car bolts right on, but the oil drain pipe is different, as well as the water lines. Also, the 14b is an up-firing turbo, so a J-pipe adaptation is necessary. Also, there's no sense in upgrading turbos if you haven't upgraded the required supporting mods first. PLEASE read the staged upgrade guides in the TECH section of this site (red toolbar at the top of the page, far left corner), search for your questions before you post them, and use VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions when possible. It has pretty much all the basic answers you'll ever need.

BTW, you don't have a seven bolt main, you have a seven bolt crank/flywheel.
