Ok so last nite a fuc*ing dominos driver hit me on the rear rigth tire. I need to get my car moving asap because of school and work. Im pretty much a newb when it comes to suspension, besides shocks and springs im kinda lost. From what i can see there is a bar to the rigth of the sway bar that snapped also what appears to be the lower control arm is bent, here are the pictures, can you guys help me identify what is wrong and needs to be fix/replaced

Looks like the trailing arm is snapped and the lower control arm is bent up. That's all I can see from here but there could be more damage. Check out the lower mounting of the shock and inspect the shock body itself for any damage/bends.

You're not going to have Domino's insurance pick this up?

Rear arm, eclipse, right, awd 95-99 $38.51
Trailing arm Back - Awd 95-99 $23.87

Don't automatically take my word for it though. Study the diagrams yourself and consider contacting turbosax2 for part numbers. He's excellent with that.

EDIT: Or his brother, snowborder714. Thanks for jumping in with part numbers.

ok guys i took a better look and found out this
Trailing arm snapped
Rear arm(im going by a mitsubishi diagram, i think you can also call this upper control arm) is bent
Front arm(the one with a donut hole) is broken where the screw goes through it at the knuckle
The Knuckle itself is broken where it connects to the rear arm.

So there is a lot of parts i need to get, im thinking of writing a letter to Dominos to see it they can cover at least the parts but i dont know what will happen in the police report no one looks guilty:rolleyes:

One last question i still have to check the hub/bearing, if its good can i just take it out and put it in the new knuckle i found a picture of one online and it seems like its just bolts
example

Yea it would be wise but i need to get to school and i start a new job soon so i gotta get the car at least moving. My insurance told me they wouldnt cover since i only have liability and im thinking of taking dominos to small claims court, this is when a case is under $3k and you represent yourself, maybe they would just pay me for the parts and yea you are right i should try for the dent+paint, instead of hiring a lawyer to represent them beacuse it wouldnt be cost effective. About the bearing does anyone have any input on this, would it be easy to just take the axle bearing hub assembly from the axle and just assamble it with the new knuckle??

Thanks for replies and concern
Luis

Why do you need a lawyer when you haven't even tried to contact them for insurance? Tell your insurance company to call Dominos and get you a rental. Then Dominos can take as long as the need getting the car appraised and fixed.

That is the first thing you should have done.

i did i called my insurance but they say they need to see the police report, so until they get it...
Oh and in small claims court the plaintiff represents himself(me) only the deffendant (ussually large companies) would need a lawyer to represent them as the owner wouldnt show up, the way that it normally works is the large companies find it more cost effective to pay out the small amount they are being sued for instead of hiring a lawyer to represent them in a particular case.

Yea that body work isn't going to be cheap if its done right. Go after them! You sure your neck doesn't hurt a little now, or back?

LOL yea i feel you on that one. im going to take a lot of pictures and take them to a shop to get an estimate( because the car is not driveable). Has anyone done something like that, take a big company to a small claims suit to get repairs done? i just hope they pay me what ill spend on fixing the car because i was hoping to spend that money on tasteful upgrades.:sneaky:

Also does anyone know if i can use certain components from a fwd instead of an awd like the arms or knuckle, at my local yunkyard they have a fwd and i could go take out the parts, thanks
