I need your help!!!

ok so my 97 gst....ah you gotta love her...when shes working well at least...

bought the car stock...put an evo 3 16g on it...oem clutch...and xact streetlite flywheel...
reason i put the 16g on was the t25 was seized and it was cheaper to get the evo now cause i wanna upgrade later... but anyways...

i get the clutch and flywheel put in because the clutch seems to be slipping...so they are in and i get in the car...start her up and off i go...1st gear...fine all the way through im thinkin wow this is great i finally feel some boost...2nd gear fine...until it starts to sputter...im gettin like jerked around back and forth...my dad was behind me while i was drivin it on the parkway and said when i started to hit the gas and accelerate the car would whine(maybe the turbo??dont kno..never heard one inside a car) really loud and there was black smoke shooting out of my exhaust pipes out back...currently the two old vacuum lines that were on the t25 are just hanging really because the stupid mechanics didnt put them on and there is nothing on the wastegate....

so any input would be great if anyone knows whats wrong...we have come to the conclusion that it is the vacuum lines that are disconnected but we will have a look at them tomorrow...

i would have done something with the vacuum lines and tried it before you made this post. you cant have open vacuum lines, you have a catastrophic vacuum leak. if you have two open lines, hook one to the wategate, and if there is no nipple on the turbo itself plug the open line.

Do you have a boost gauge? Sounds like boost leaks symptoms or low boost with alot of fuel.
