Whats Up Guys My Name Is Juan And My Buddy Is Having Some Serious Problems With His 1g Talon. We have Had 2 Mechanics Come And Look At His Car And Both These Guys did'nt Know What The Hell They Were Doing. We Need Some Local Dsm Guys Who Know What They Are Doing. Second, if you could describe the problem, others might be able to help either from similar experiences, or it might be a common problem.

Third, if you're in socal, Road race engineering is one of the premiere DSM shops in the country. Take it to them, or talk to them about the problem and see if they can help.

Sorry about the capslock. Yeah I called road race and they said they would not be able to check out my buddy's car till 3 weeks from now. Plus i actually wanna find a more affordable place. Road race is probably one of the best in socal when it comes to dsm's but money is kinda tight right now. Well this is what happend first off the car was overheating and found out it was the water pump so a buddy said he would install it but he ended up messing up the car even more, he put the timing belt on wrong and bent the valves,two to be exact. then we had some mechanic look at the car and said he could replace the valves and then he tried to start The car after But He could not get it started And Finally Gave up. So we called another mechanic and he set the timing belt right then he tried to start it but it just cranks but wont start he said it could be an electrical problem a sensor or something, but none of these guys know anything about dsm's so i really think i need someone who knows about dsm's on here to help me.

It's in bold, and you only need to capitalize proper nouns (names) and the first word after your sentence. Following those two will make it a lot easier to know when the sentences start and stop.

You need to pull the head off to get it to run again. You've got bent valves. You should be thankful the valves are only bent, and not broken off. When they break off you need new pistons, commonly when they just get bent you can keep the pistons. My pistons had seen 3 sets of bent valves before a broken one split it in two, may they rest in pieces. You can get a new head off of another car, or send that head to a machine shop and they can fix it. Most of the time it's only the valves and the guides that are messed up, so the rockers, springs, lifters, and all that gear can be reused.

You'll want all new timing gear, tensioners, belts, and all that jazz. Not worth reusing the old timing gear when you may or may not have to replace it in the future.

Since I'm having a hard time deciphering what you're saying, you might be indicating that you fixed the valve issue and now it won't start. Even if you think you did, if someone else had to set the timing after someone tried to start it, I'm betting you have bent valves still. Do a compression test. If that comes out ok (I'm sure it won't) start by checking the check engine light codes, looking for spark, and making sure you have fuel.

No I Dont Have Bent Valves, The Head Got Replaced And Everything Was Installed Right. The Timing And And The Belts Where Installed Right And He Tried To Start It But It Cranks But It Dont Start Sound Like A Fuel Problem But The Mechanic Said It Sounded Like A Sensor Or Something. See When The Last Mechanic Took Of The Head With The Bent Valves He To Off A Buch Of Sensors And Wires From The Intake manifold And Now I Dont Know What Exactly He Disconnected, And I Ended Up In Bad Terms With Him Because Of That Thats Why I Got A New Mechanic But He Said There Was A Bunch of Wire That The Other Mechanic Disconnected And Cut So He Said He Would Put The Timing Belt Right But That The Electrical He Did'nt Mess With, Said Id Have To Get An Electrician For That.
