Need an ECU gurus help

My capacitors in my ecu had gone bad before I bought the car and when they leaked apparently it broke a couple parts on the board. I have freind whos mother works for a company that assembles circuit boars and she took it in and looked at. She said that is was fixable and gave me the locations of the parts that were broken. She said that without the schimatic for what part of the board corresponds to which part# that she wouldnt be able to tell me what the parts were that I needed to buy to fix them. The locations of the broken parts were c-14 and c-25 . I have been looking for hours for replacement parts and have found nothing. If anyone has any info that could help I would very much appreciate it.

Why don't you just contact ECMTUNING? They make dsmlink and they are good at fixing ECU's as well. Just go to the dsmlink website and email them with your question.

I don't recall seeing C25 on ECUs for 91 or later cars. I think it's only on the 90 style ECU
Both C14 and C25 are 0.1uF SMD capacitors. C14 is a 1206 size and C25 a 0805 size.

What's the part number of the ECU your trying to repair and the build date of your car.

Right now the ecu is at my buddys moms shop, Ill let you know the year of the car make when I get home. It is an eprom chip if that makes anything easier.

Not really, I've pretty much seen EPROM ECUs from every model year.

Wow, just got the title from my freind today and it turns out that he told me it was a 91 and its actually a 90. So that would make sense about not seeing them on 91 and later. What do I need to tell the place that I buy the parts from, in order for them to give me the right stuff. Sorry circuit boards arnt really my thing. I also have another question, I ordered a 91-94 ecu on ebay to use untill I get mine fixed but now I see that the car is a 90 and I believe they are a little different. I have read that you have to switch 2 of the wires and I was wondering what those two wires were and if it had any effect on the way the car ran
