Subframe swap

So my 1g talon (tsi awd) has a rusted subframe. Nowhere else is there rust so I believe the subframe is not the original. I cannot easily locate a 1g subframe where I am but I can find plenty of 2g subframes. There is no engine FYI. It was a chasis only. So I have an open book.

If this info is helpful, I am very familiar with mopar engines and drivetrains. I am making a cruser, not a moster track car so if a 420a subframe works I don't care. Advice? I can't seem to find this answer anywhere (including Google)

No 2g subframe is going to fit in your 1g, that's out of the question. Your best bet is contacting Stangmurdera and see if they've got any on their lot or go to a local junkyard and find a 1g with a subframe you need that isn't rusted out.

You may pull it and inspect it, odds are it's just surface rust and can easily be fixed media blasting it and powder coating it.

Are you sure it isnt just surface rust? Ive seen many of them rusted because they are directly below the battery.
