OK you guys I some how managed to crack my Sub frame or A frame or what ever its called, all I know is that the frame that hols the rear motor mount up is cracked big time I can move it with my hand when the car is jacked up, I was just wondering if anyone had to deal with this BS and whats involved in replacing it so I can have a little less aof a painfull experiance when I go get another one at a wrecking yard in a day or two to replace it??

My friends car was like that and he just welded it when we had the engine out. It should'nt be a huge deal to replace it but you will have to support the engine and tranny somehow if you plan to leave them in while you replace it. If there is alot of rust on this car then you will have fun getting those bolts out and the ball joints loose. Make sure you have access to a GOOD impact gun.:dsm:

I replaced one on my friends car. You actually don't have to support the engine or the transmission. At least we didn't have it. I would suggest you swap it out ASAP. The crack in my friend's car cause the transmission to consistently lean to one side and it would just keep tearing his CV boot. It's not that bad, only thing to really watch out for is to make sure your steering column is 100% connected into your rack and pinion assembly before you bolt it up. We messed up there and it is a real pain to align back together after the member is bolted down.

hey well its cracked so bad to the point where the axle wont stay in... but thanks for all the tips guys, hopefully on monday when I have a day off it wont be raining and i could whip out all the power tools and get it done in a few hours. I am really anxious since I got these DKS ffwd connection 272 cams just sitting in my motor and i cant test them out and tune with them yet.
