Ok I got these dumb ass stickers on the rear windows, and I want to know if I take them off will they stain the glass, and whats the best way to remove them. If you look close enough in my pic you can see them.

If they are on the outside...I would say get a straight edge razor and scrape them off (one with a handle so you don't hurt yourself). Then you can get this stuff called "Goo Gone" and take the residue off. Then just wash your windows. :)

Edit to say: If they are on the inside... you can do the same thing, just be careful not to hit anything with the scraper.

You can use a heat gun (or I guess a hair dryer would work) to warm up the adhesive. Then you can just carefully peel it off. The remaining residue will have to be removed with a cleaning solvent like "Goo Gone".

EDIT: kt is more ninja than me

Thank you.......this website is effing great. One more question tho off topic but just a quick question Im new to dsm completely and i just want to know what kind of rims are these on the talon.

I used some ArmorAll glass wipes to get the residue off after using a razor blade. Just a suggestion if you have happen to have some of them.

If the stickers aren't too big, you won't even really need Goo Gone. Just spray some regular window cleaner and use the razor blade to scrape the residue off.

The picture thats up right now is the only one I have so far. I got the car from my brother and therefor i stole this pic from his facebook, but i will have plenty more when i have the rebuild done.

You Honestly couldn't figure out the main reason of my question. "will they stain the glass" As in if they will stain the glass like I was told I would just leave them up and if not I would take them down.

Either way. Why the hell would a sticker stain a damn window. Take a ####n razor blade to that shit.

Oh boy.

Hey there... calm down guy. He is making a valid point. I've never seen glass get 'stained' from a sticker. I have see bumpers and such have marks on them from stickers, but not glass.

Because sometimes the colors fade on glass so if u not here to help shut the f*ck up and keep it movin and ima leave it at that.

Wow. You're a real winner.

Ok u got it sir i will calm down but theres a rightand wrong way to come at ppl. I know the site rules thats why i sad im going to leave it at that.

You should follow the grammar rule.

I just did this a few weeks ago to redo the letter on the business truck.
I used several different things: the plastic scraper, the heat gun, and razor blade.
I found the razor blade worked best.
To remove whatever residue is left, scrap hard and it will come almost completely off, I used alcohol and paper towel for a nice quick clean finish.

Leave a Shop logo on your top "tinted" windshield, in the California sun for 5 years, and when the vinyl disintegrates into dust, trust me you'll see it.

On the outside, razor blade, and acetone, goo gone, alcohol, etc.

On the Inside, and this also works for Tint removal, a Steamer, and a ton of patience especially if you want to keep defroster lines. If done correctly, the adhesive "remelts" and can be peeled off slowly without leaving residue.
