stuck? cant tell if turbo is blown or what is wrong

ok i was at my friends house and i was leavin and my car started actin ###. it wouldnt rev pas 2k and acted like it wanted to die the boost guage is reading about 3/4 and im not getting any pressure at all and is spitting a lot of black smoke so i think its blown but i dont know can someone please help me

A blown turbo is going to blow blue smoke which is oil getting into the turbine side. Black smoke is from running rich. Take off the intake pipe and wiggle the turbo with your finger to check for excessive shaft play and in/out play. I'd suggest not doing it while the car is hot

the weird thing is it has no shaft play at all i checked that it was the first thing i did

Check for boost leaks. Its a very good possibility that is what you might have causing your problem. See if any of the piping is loose.

Do a boost leak test and replace your spark plugs if you haven't recently. Sounds like you blew off an intercooler pipe.

Check for boost leaks. Its a very good possibility that is what you might have causing your problem. See if any of the piping is loose.

if your not getting lot of shaft play then its probably loose inter cooler pipe/ or hose mine did that one day when i was driving scared the hell out of me till i pulled over opened the hood and looked at one of my couplers nearly off the pipe

also possible that if he has smoke coming out and turbo is good i hate to say it but posible blown head gasket do a block check.
