Stock cams?

where can i get a set of stock cams for around 300$?

i got a set of 1g cams at home. not sure if you need them or 2g. theyre off of a 92 talon tsi awd i believe (was my buddys then i bought the 6bolt motor off him) PM me if your interested. def not asking $300 for them. im sure we can work something more in your benefit and for me too. thanks!

if i went up to 264/264 would i need anything special to run them ? or they direct bolt on?
Would i need new cam caps to hold them down?

and would i new cam gears? or any tunes to use them?

as far as i know, you can use the stock cams from a 1g. whether or not they are 264/264 im not sure. you will probably have to use your cam gears on your cams now but i do have the cam gears with the cams from my 1g 6bolt.

i would ask others or wait to see if any1 posts anything else to this thread. be sure to let me know if you want the 1g cams i have. ill include the gears too for free. i dont care.

I sent you a pm about 2g cams I have for you. All cams for a 4g63 from 1990-1999 are interchangeable. I have BC 272's and they are a direct bolt in as would the 264s youre asking about as long as they are for a 4g63 dsm. You can use the stock cam gears and everything else. If you want to rev them out past 7500rpms, you should probably upgrade your valve springs and retainers.

Why you need stock cams? If your gonna upgrade later why not now. You could get a set of deltas and there drop in cams

I was also wondering about just dropping in a set of kelford 272's as I dont have adjustible cam gears and was wondering if I could just drop them in and not have any problems with it. I ran out of money after all the money i spent on other upgrades.

you can use the stock cam caps and with a non agressive cam you can use the stock valve train and not rev past the stock limiter.

no 264 combo should be alright with stock valve train. Just dont rev past the stock rev limiter.

I have some hks 264's.. im only tryin to get rid of the exhaust cam for 100 shipped cause i want a 272 but pm if interested. i might be interested in getting rid of both for 320 tyd also.. but would rather just sell the one. lmk
