Stock Cams

The guy building my car called me up today and told me my stock cams are pretty beat up. I'm thinkin I'm gonna run a stock cam out of a manual car since that's a common mod for automatic 1g's. Are 1g and 2g cams interchangeable? I've found a few second gens for sale but no luck with first gens. Also if I would decide to go with an aftermarket cam instead, what's a good choice for a car with an automatic so I'm not losing too much bottom end power. Anyone with something for sale just PM me.

Yes, 1g and 2g 4g63 cams are interchangeable...the best being the 1g MT/ turbo cams. There were some on eBay last time I looked.

I have 4 sets of stock MT 1G cams. all in good shape. I thought they were pretty much paper weights since most people would go aftermarket. what is the difference between MT and AT and 1G and 2G. Ive gone thru 4 heads and bought all stock 1G MT heads as far as a i was told
