Stock 7bolt Headstuds Limitations

Hey everyone.

Im running stock headstuds on my 7bolt motor. I am running my holset hx35 at 18psi right now tuned on dsmlink.
On saturday im getting on the dyno, what is the limit for stock head studs. Anybody have personal experience with pushing there headstuds hard? Is 22 psi to high?

Thankyou advice is appreciated from people who have first hand experience. I dont want to hear your dumb blah blah blah. You cant play it safe all the time .

I ran 24psi on my stock engine with stock head gasket and stock head bolts. I only have a 16g though.
Headgasket and bolts are fine
Maybe I got lucky?

^I've done the same. 24psi on a small 16g with stock 1g 7 bolt.

Boost is relative and not a good reference for component strength.

The stock 7bolt headbolts (not studs ) have been known to tolerate up to 400ish whp. You don't have enough fuel for much more than that anyway.

I ended up making 350whp with no problems.

!!! I didn't realize how old this thread was. Do you have a pic of your dyno sheet? What boost? What are your mods?

I did 24 with some 27 spikes on a 50 trim stock 7 bolt everything

T28 at 350 h.p. and my 7 bolt heads studs decided they had enough. Pushed a good amount of coolant till I figured out what was going on. ARP's fixed that problem.
