Limitations of stock sleeved blocks???

I was curious about the limitations of the stock sleeves on the 4G63. I was toying with the idea of running a 100 shot direct port along with a Precision SC61 boosting 20 PSI on race gas. The 1G block will have Wiseco 8.7:1 .020 over pistons and Eagle rods.

How far can you go before sleeves are necessary?

D'oh. Shouldn't you know that these are solid blocks before you go trying to modify them? Isn't that kindof a prerequisite?

These are solid blocks, but I have heard you can sleeve whatever you want including a 4g63. I do not know of the validity of that statement however.

They are solid blocks. As stated, they are fine for any power you may produce. WITH PROPER SUPPORTING MODS.

On a solid block the only time sleeves come into play is when you increase bore size to the point where cylinder wall thickness is too thin.

Also there is very little space between the bores. You can get a still get a decent sized increase in displacement from doing it but it is probably more expensive than worth it for most people.

Closing this thread and all like it until you take the time to figure out what in the hell you are trying to do. Hell take a look at ANY picture of a 4G63 block (and there are literally THOUSANDS of them on the net) and you can see it's not sleeved.
