Stinky starts

My car smells awful when it starts up. Also, the car has a series of mini backfires for about 30 seconds.

This started happening after my new fuel system which included FIC 550's, walbro 190, oem fuel filter and new fuel lines.

The car runs fine and everything after about 30 seconds.


I think that the car is getting too much fuel at idle. What do you guys think?

NOTE: only tuning device is the maf-t.

You are probably overrunning the stock fuel pressure regulator at idle, and getting really high fuel pressure, which isn't good. Do you have a pocketlogger to tune the car? How are the fuel trims at idle? Did you tune the maft up? Please don't say that you just set the injectors to the 550 setting and that's it...
