Car starts and revs up to about 1,100 rpms and stalls. I can not figure it out. I can keep re-starting it and it keeps doing the same thing. I just had the engine repaired, new bearings, touch hone, yada yada yada. Car ran fine before all I did was disconnect everything sent motor out, got it back put it all back together. Does have a new thicker headgasket but I cant imagine that would change timing that much.

Any ideas?

Oh and in Link i am getting these two error codes: 0340 and 0335.

Check your compression, do you have fuel at the rail? I would look up the codes and see what they are, search here, get a manual, or google the codes, then you will see your issues there.

It starts and runs but falls on its face after 1,100 rpms check your fpr if you have one and make sure your getting fuel pressure. Look up what those codes are that may help.

How old is the fuel? Check timing, look at your plugs (indicator of lean or rich condition), check all connections (MAF, coilpack). A thicker HG wouldn't change timing, but it might impact compression ratio, which in turn could affect your AF mix. Lower CR might like more air, might need to leans the mixture up a bit. Do you have a wideband?

Just did Compression, 180 across the board. But while I was doing it I found an issue! Cylinders 1 and 4 the plug looked wet and black as hell, but cylinders 2 and 3 looked wet and brand new. So maybe a spark issue? If so how do you check it on a COP?

Just switched to my coil and wires and got the same effect. So i know that it is spark but why would 2 and 3 not fire but 1 and 4 are?

ok just did a power transistor test and both checked out good. Some one please help what else could stop 2 and 3 from spark?

Pulled the CAS turned it and heard the pump come on and heard the injectors... could it still be bad?

Please help!

I'm bringing this wayyyy back from the dead, but I'm having the same issue with my car. Did you ever figure out what was wrong?
