All right guys here it goes. I've exhaiusted all other sources. Searched all posts, read all topics.
I did a 6bolt swap in a 2ga gsx with auto, bought the kit from kiggly racing, and a restalled converter from ipt.
The kiggly plate and starter plate are in right order, bushing from kiggly was used flipped around, flexplate is installed corectly, concaving towards the block, i am using a 2g starter plate and a 2g starter. the converter was installed correctly by fully seating into the pump then installing bolts finger tight then pulling them back out and lock tight and torquing, then bolting down the block, the converter spun free prior to instaling bolts. bolts used were sent from kiggly also. Crank bolts used were stock 6 bolt cut down to proper length to fit, then grinded down in order for the pilot bushing to fit in backwards with the smaller inner diameter on the outside closer to the converter. After getting everything back together the car started and ran fine fir about 2 weeks. Slowly a grinding started, and intermittently the starter would spin free like it wasnt extending, until one day it got very bad and took an hour of trying to get the car started. I immediately thought my starter went bad, of course, went to autozone and had it tested and 3 times it tested good, i bought a new one anyways just to rule it out. After putting the new starter in it still grinded but started the car, this lasted 1 day by the end it was back to grinding and then doing the free spin. I checked the teeth on the converter and they have slight wear but not enough to keep it from engaging, the starter was fine, i reinstalled and on first ney turn the car started, after that there was grinding then a free spin. I changed the negative terminal and again with the first key turn it started then proceeded as before with grinding and free spin. I changed the positive terminal with the same results as previous. I changed the starter with a new one on warranty and on first key turn it started up with lots of grinding, after that it behaved like normal.
I had a friend bring over another starter that has a longer nose and gear, it behaved the same, we used washers as spacers to move the starter away from the converter with no improvement. We put my starter back in using spacers and again no improvement.
Now what i noticed is the converter bolts were hitting the bottom of the alignment ring on the starter, his starter my starter and my original starter had a full ring, the second starter i had didnt have a full ring but one with the bottom flat, but that starter didnt work either. We ground part of that ring off and checked to see if any contact was being made by manually turning over the engine, and without contact being made still the grinding issue.
I talked to Kevin (kiggly) last night, he said my installation of his kit is spot on, im using the bolts he uses in his converter. He also said he doesnt believe its a pilot bushing issue as i drover the car for 2 weeks putting close to 600 miles on it with no trans issues, (i rebuiilt the trans when doing the swap). Kevin said he was stumped.
Ive talked to Forced Engineering, Kevin (kiggly) K., and a few others with plenty of dsm experience, none of them so far have been able to come up with a solution, or another suggestion to my problem.
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on what i can try, pls post. email. pm or hit up my facebook, Michigan DSM Tuners.

Come on guys, if your viewing you can throw up a suggestion. Give me any and all possibilities. Im going to make a suggestion board and go through the list, crossing out what i know positively without a doubt is not the issue. Kiggly (your kit), John @ IPT (your converter could be the problem), Shep, Bushur, anyone thats done the 6 bolt in a 2g auto swap, i need things to check, i close to pulling the converter and putting in a known good one, hoping that it wasnt the $500 IPT converter i got that is the issue.
