      I've trapped 145 while still in 3rd gear. rpm across the line was about 8800
      balance your rotating assembly.
      buy GOOD rods with upgraded bolts. (I'm still on eagle rods)
      buy a good piston with upgraded wrist pins, a thin wall pin will not hold up. (I'm running ROSS with upgraded pin)
      I roll new bearings in after every race season.
      I'm on small tires, a bump up to a 26" tire would give me back about 200 rpm

      All that being said, this is the 3rd year I've raced the 2.3 short block in my Talon. I'm tearing it all down and inspecting for cracks, will upgrade the rods to R&Rs re-ring it and run it again.

      I really like the extra torque of a 2.3 for stalling a big turbo. I'm actually thinking about a 2.4 block for my next build.

      I cruised in that area last summer but the cars in storage right now. Any meets going on in the area? I've seen and know quite a few guys around here that might be interested.

      I was able to rebuild my valve body by watching the video, and just following the instructions that came with the shift kit.

      Yeah you can check the TCM yourself if your somewhat mechanically inclined. Once you have it out; you can just simply take remove the 4 screws on each side and the cover for the TCM pops off.

      how does $45 sound?? Ill also provide the assembly in which they mount so that just in case you have the flat style solenoids you won't have trouble swaping them out.
