Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the flange and the tubing were two different materials, then wouldn't they crack no matter what due to the fact that once they both heat up they expand and contract at different temperatures and the amount that they contract differs? Maybe it doesn't matter between stainless steel to mild or whatever the flange is made out of, but that's what I thought.
Not a big deal and definitely worth trying. Hell at that price I could just buy SS flanges myself and make it work and STILL be ahead of the game!

Guess it'll be awhile before I test her out
Then afterwards, you'd probably want to support the WG since I wouldn't trust that weld on the WG pipe on the turbine side flange.
