OK I am upgrading my fuel line to -6an lines on my 2G. I have removed the old line and want to connect my new fittings to the threaded pipe coming out of the tank. The end of the threaded pipe is different than the thread on my -6an fitting. What is everyone doing to solve this problem? Is there a adapter piece? My camera is broken, wish I could show pictures.

1g here, but I'm sure some info is out there for your ghey 2g tanks.. I installed an AN bulkhead fitting. There are likely some fittings out there to convert from AN to whatever thread the tank is though, that info shouldn't be too hard to find.

A -6an will thread right on. Are you sure the threads arent messed up on either the elbow or the fitting itself? Do you have another -6 fitting you can try just for the hell of it? Ive done -6 on both a 1g and 2g and neither one required any kind of metric to AN adapter.

I don't know of any AN fitting that threads onto that fitting. I cannot verify that the factory fitting is metric thread or not, but -6 AN thread is 9/16-18 standard thread.

Here's what I did though. I cut that hardline off of the top of the assembly, and left the bottom part (the parts that actually attaches to the upper part of the fuel pump) alone. Then, I welded a -6 AN bung onto the top of the assembly. After that, it was a breeze.

Roast beef: Yes my -6 did screw right on but the inside seal is different? Did yours leak? It doesnt look like it would seal.

99GST: I was thinking the same thing! Looks great, might go that rout, unless this I can just screw my -6AN fitting right to the mitsu thread.
