Hey all - still new to turbo DSM's and not sure what this is - although probably something pretty obvious.

My car is running on 15psi on a 20g td05 with a keydiver stage 3 chip.
It had been doing fine but I had been driving my DD for a few days and then drove it and this started happening. The only thing different is that it got a lot colder here. Been in the negatives.

The car under heavy load would sputter and cut out, it'll still accelerating but I'll lose boost and keep cutting out.

It sometimes cuts out lower than even 15psi - I've had it start sputtering and cutting out at 10psi. Just wondering is this fuel cut i'm hitting?

My friends think it's just due to the really friggin cold weather.
I made a video of what it's doing - it was strange though.. I made the video and about an hour later on my way home it suddenly was a lot better than it had been in around 5-7 days. It still does it though, just wasn't doing it as bad.

Heres everything engine management related on my car if it helps:
Key diver chip stage 3 chip specs:
7500-6000 selectable rev limit
stutterbox 4500-4750-5000-5250-5500
no fuel cut
octane reset 91
2x karman
knocksum gauge, CEL light at 3 knock
enhance closed loop maps for better mpg
650cc injectors / 312uS deadtime
stock 2g mas
800rpm idle
30% expanded maps, 16* advance on top map
no airflow cap
43psi bfp
10.5:1 wot afr

Here's the video. I know I didn't need to talk in the video since I explained it here but oh well, I'm retarded.

Disclaimer: No laws were broken in the video, highway speed limit is 65 and I never went above it! :)

I had a sputtering problem under WOT. It ended up being spark plugs. Have you checked those to see what they looked like?

do you have a wide band? it would help in figuring it out. i know you said its tuned for WOT a/f ratio;s but its still useful. and i would also change the plugs if they havent been replaced recently. as for it being a weather issue, its not likely. i mean dose it only happen when the car isent fully warmed up? OR dose it happen when the car is either hot or cold?
also, are you using a wideband O2sensor?

nevermind i see you have a wide band in the video. sorry. i watched the video after my first post.:banghead:

my 90 gsx did this exact same thing and it was my coil pack
and my galant did it to and it was my plug wires
or it could be a boost leak

My 2G had the same issue, seemed to happen the most in the midrange under boost. Between the misfire and the crummy worn out suspension I had at the time I was ready to junk the car. It was plug wires, the spark was arcing through a crack in one of the boots at the sparkplug end to the head in the plug well. Was hard to find 'cause I checked the wires at night for a corona or discharge and never saw one. I didn't see it cause it was in the plug well and covered by the upper part of the plug boot/seal. When I pulled the wires to check the plugs again the offending wire came apart and I then noticed the arc burns in the plug well.

good luck.

Boost leak test, change plugs and wires.

Pull the plug wires and see if any oil is getting into the plug wells. This oil will sometimes cause the spark to arc through to the head, so watch out. This happened to me when I did not seal my valve cover correctly.

Plugs and wires are cheap (it's all relative), so I would also suggest replacing these.

I feel like an idiot! haha

I finally went out to the garage and started checking couplers and such to see if anything was loose. 30 mins of looking and then of course, I saw one of my plugs sitting crooked, popped it in straight and it was fine!

I feel retarded!

Thanks for the help all!
