I have got a 95 Gst 5spd, well actually my wife drives it but yeah.

Anyways when you accelerate quickly in this car the turbo cuts out. When driving around normal, everyday driving you never notice it. I saw other threads with this problem but this car is all stock unlike most of those (thought that might lessen some of the culprits). I was just informed last weekend that the car has a 14b turbo (doesn't mean much to me.. I drive an acura and know only about hondas LOL). Just a few possibilities would be great, as like I said I don't know much about dsms or turbo motors. Thanks in advance

PS: she said it didn't matter what rpm, it mattered how fast you were accelerating.

Sounds like fuel cut. What is your boost setting at ? You do have a aftermarket boost gauge right ?

Start by doing a boost leak test. This site will show you how to make one and how to do the test. These can be made for under $10.

IC Pipe Tester

Then I would check plugs and wires. When was the last time the plugs and wires were replaced?

Sounds to be like its either a boost leak or theres something wrong with the ignition system.

Give us a little more information on what you mean by "cut's out." Is it like a back fire, leaving a plume of black smoke; or like a miss and sputter?

If it's the the first then you have some sort of boost leak. Check all your vacuum lines and IC piping. Even if it's all stock, this car is 14 years old and plastic/rubber do rot. Start the car and listen for any sort of hissing from the IC piping and around vacuum lines.

If it's more of a miss, then you need to change plugs and wires first off. Then check your coil pack.

I hope this helps!

I would suggest checking out the knock sensor as well. my car is a 1G and it would buck like crazy under throttle... It turned out to be a loose Knock sensor (as in it had to be tightened by 3 turns.
