2G Cutting out before boost?

Mods: Speed density, 1200cc injectors, e85, hx35, fp2 272 cams, black box ecu, iac delete, isc delete

Upon Taking off from any stop, the car starts bucking unless you give it lots of gas. It reads a regular 14-15 on the wideband, then will randomly fall to 11, 10 and sometimes even 9s, then start stuttering like crazy, as soon as i build boost it goes away, and pulls really good. This happens during regular driving as well.
It seems to only be an issue pre boost. Im thinking the coil might be shot, but looking for any good options here as the car cant be fine tuned unless the issue is resolved.

The wideband starts to fall on take off? Seems like it's drowning in fuel if it goes to 9's with no boost. It could be a coil but with that info I think I'd start with looking at fuel. Just my thoughts, it always something holding up a tune

Could be bad plug wires...when were they last replaced?

Sad part is, just recently it was running fine. They are old but, 9mm racing wires. Something to look into

Yeah if they're old I would definitely start there. I've had this exact issue and it turned out to be the plug wires. If you're up in the air on which ones to go with, NGK are highly recommended by nearly everyone on here.

I am having the same prob... preboost no power stutters and stalls. after 3000 rpms the car boost fine and pulls hard. I'll be updating my mods list shortly which I haven't updated since 2009. I'm definitely going to be watching this post closely to see if you need anything

Base tip in needs adjusted at right before you spool its going rich because its giving to much fuel in spool and then your getting the rich fall on the face feel and then bam good because you have enough airflow to straighten it out. I would check for pre turbo leaks also

I might have found a solution. After doing some research on here I stumbled accross a thread with a lot of members having the same preboost break up and stuttering issue. After going through the thread, I found a post that basically recommend to clean the injectors. I decided to give it a shot and voila!!! No more break up and stutter. I picked up some carb and throttle cleaner and built an injector cleaner just like the one Jafro made on his you tube channel. I used a double A battery to pulse the injectors and it worked flawlessly.Give it a shot and let us know the results...

That's awesome. I just watched the jafro video. I didn't realise it was that easy, I've always sent them out to be cleaned at a local place for 15/injector. No more!
