Speedometer wont work..help quick!

i just got my blow 7 bolt swapped out for a new rebuilt 7 bolt (selling my car) and i noticed the speedometer, the odometer, and the engine temp gauge in the factory gauge cluster arent working. I called the guy who fixed the car and he said he hooked it back up, but it wouldn't work. I'm stumped as well. any ideas? thanks!

Take it back and MAKE him figure it out...
If it worked before and it doesnt' work now...its not your fault. Tell him to fix it. He was rifleing through your engine. Its his responsibility.

I have no idea why it might now be working. It could be lots of things...the only thing you need to be concerned with right now is driving BACK.

A bad reed sensor or a bad VSS.
reed is in the gauge cluster
vehicle speed sensor at the top of the transmission passed the rear motor mount

my advice would be to take the car back.
