I have looked at the other forums and I have already replaced the speed sensor and taken out the guage cluster and everything looks fine. The speedometer won't work and the odmiter won't either. Any suggestions would help.

Ok to replace that would it just be the speedometer guage or a new cluster and if that motor is shot is that the same one that makes the odmiter work also

yeah its all of its little section. speedometer and miles. u can try to find a whole cluster on ebay so u can test it out.

Pull the speed sensor and look into the hole from which it came. Do you see a plastic piece with teeth on it? Probably not. These NVT350s like to pop the drive gear off.

Well I'm going to a junk yard today I'll see if there's one there.

40fan that piece was there and attached

*UPDATE* I got a new guage cluster and speedometer still doesn't work. Any ideas? also the dimmer doesnt seem to work, and it didnt work in the old cluster. idk if this can possibly be part of the same problem.

Does anyone have any tips they can give this is kinda urgent for me. I have done alot of research with no answers.

here is how you can test ti see if the speed sensor is working. Remove the plastic gear from the speed sensor. attach a drill to the rod that slides down in the gear. hook the battery up and have someone turn on the ignition and start the car after they have put it in neutral or park. squeeze the trigger on the drill. if your speedometer works then you have a problem in the tranny which is something these cars are famous for. if the speedometer does not work you more than likley have a wiring problem.
