Just arrived! Ordered from www.thespeedfactor.com

I was able to hit up AIM with a rep from www.thespeedfactor.com and spoke with him live about my questions and answers. I ordered it and it arrived in eight days.

To be installed hopefully within the next few weeks.

Here's a look . . .

It's their standard high-clamp pressure plate and a 6-puck sprung disc. Also in the picture is the throwout bearing, alignment tool, and one of my cats. The cat will be put in my differential to act as my new LSD insert.

4 Puck is more grabby and will enguage a lot harsher correct? And from the pictures above I would hate to buy a stage 2 and have that happen to me. OMG

get your car back together? any updates? i'm searching for a clutch and i'm hearing good reviews on this one but wanna know all i can. i hate ACT.

At this point, with this clutch, I've . . . .

1) been to the dragstrip
2) taken a 500mile roadtrip
3) had to go through 1 hour of stop and go highway traffic (in CT during my roadtrip)
4) driven around in mostly city conditions
edit: I've got about 4k miles on the clutch

More words about the clutch:

This clutch seriously kicks ass. After I got the motor put back together the clutch chattered during engagement. Two polyeurethane motor mounts later, no more chattering. Engagement is perfectly smooth (unless you are really bogging the motor during engagement; think <1krpm). Clutch is perfectly slippable for hard launching or everyday launching, and still GRABS LIKE HOLY HELL between shifts when you need it. It's really fricken awesome; imagine 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 shifting faster than you ever thought you could shift in a car.

FWD or AWD, this puck is it. No felt change in pedal pressure, slippable, predictable, and so far holding up like a bulletproof vest in a paintball match.

i have a spec stage 3 clutch in my awd eclipse. although my car is down once again. im swappin out my crappy 7 bolt for a nice 6 bolt. i have a question though. i have the stage 3 clutch with the carbon/kevlar street disc. what do i need to change in order to get it to work with my 6 bolt. oh and by the way, the 800 miles i got to drive on this clutch, i loved it. u have to get used to it at first but then it's on from there. nice a#s clutch in my opinion. i also decided to go with this clutch in case i decide to go with nos and because of all the horror stories i hear about the act clutches :nono:
