Just arrived! Ordered from www.thespeedfactor.com

I was able to hit up AIM with a rep from www.thespeedfactor.com and spoke with him live about my questions and answers. I ordered it and it arrived in eight days.

To be installed hopefully within the next few weeks.

Here's a look . . .

It's their standard high-clamp pressure plate and a 6-puck sprung disc. Also in the picture is the throwout bearing, alignment tool, and one of my cats. The cat will be put in my differential to act as my new LSD insert.

it is $340 shipped and according to SPEC and thespeedfactor, it holds up to 415ft/lbs of torque.

Once I get it in, I'll update with my $.02 on how it feels compared to the oem clutch in terms of pedal stiffness and engagement behavior.

Then, once I hit the 450 mile city driving break-in period, i'll do some more severe runs and do another update.

Nice man keep us updated looks good!

Might have to get one soon if it is easy to install/adjust and holds well.

I definatly intrested in it after I get my 6bolt. How many you got? And I saw you have combo with a fly wheel too, on your web site what kind of fly wheel is it

I have a 6 puck Spec in mine just like the one he bought, and it is absolutely fine for city driving. I have ZERO complaints about this clutch!

OK clutch is FINALLY in, and might is say . . . wow

I can't tell any difference in pedal pressure from the stock pressure plate.

In terms of engagement, the room for play has been greatly shortened, similar to what others have said; "it is either in, or out"

it's not quite that severe, there is room to slip. I did manage to almost stall my car out at every single time that i had to get the car moving again. It is becoming easier and easier every time to get the car moving smoothly and changing gears smoothly. Soon enough I won't notice it at all I'm sure. More updates as soon as i hit 500miles and i really lay onto it. But for now it is grabbing like all hell :)

OEM
Driveability : 5 out of 5 stars
Grabability : 3 out of 5 stars

SPEC Stage 3
Driveability : 4 out of 5 stars
Grabability : 5 out of 5 stars

The clutch is definitely slippable, and I absolutely have to give it a 4/5 stars and 5/5 also. I will be sure to post back after a couple hundred more miles of driving, and couple hundred miles of beating the tar out of it!

Please keep us updated. I was planning on going with the stage 2 kit rather than the stage 3 due to the fact my target HP goal is 350awhp. What made you choose the stage 3 over the stage 2?

Well it is a small price difference, and I plan on spraying, so the torque created would easily exceed the limits of the Stage 2. The stage 3 is very very driveable, doesn't really chatter, and is only a small amount more, so if you want some extra insurance, then I'd have to choose it over the two. I'll definitely post up some more after I get it broken in!

Yea for sure the stage 3 is the way to go.

But oh no, my car is BACK IN THE SHOP AGAIN. :notgood:

My crank has walked, so i decided to replace the bearings to medicate it for a short while. So after the bearings were replaced i got the clutch replaced.
I drove it, and wrote my update. Earlier today i threw another bearing out while i was on the highway, so i crawled the car back to my shop. I called up Satan, ordered a new shortblock to FIX and not medicate crankwalk. Sigh, I had only driven the car for less than 50 miles since the clutch was replaced.

More updates on the clutch once the new shortblock has been installed.

started knocking from underneath the motor one day, and it was repetitive and had a direct relationship to the RPM of the motor. So I had the guys at my shop take a listen, then one of the mechanics and I took it to his buddy at the Mitsu dealership. We drove the car around back and had every guy who worked in the shop messing with my car for about a half hour. The conclusion was My crank had walked the last walk. Turns out they were all right. When we replaced all the bearings they were all ground down, shavings all over the oil pan.

The picture at speedFactor shows a 4 puck disc, is it a 4 or 6? And has anyone tried the stage 2 because it looks like that is more of a DD disc with option of running hard?
