I'm putting in rebuilt performance transmission and it's now time to replace the clutch and flywheels. I'm having trouble decided whether I should go by to the ACT 2600 w/ Street Disc or if I should I with other options, like ACT 2100 w/ 6-puck, South Bend DXD, Fidanza 3.2 or 4.3. Anyone have any inputs on the Fidanza pressure plates or what South Bend DXD torque rating is?

Also, I think that sprung 6-puck chattered less, but only ACT brochure it says sprung one's chatter more. Does anyone have any input? I mean, that maybe so depending on what kind off material they use on the disc, but they I can't find anyone whether it's kevlar or ceramic material.

Here, watch this video about clutches. The Fidanza guy breaks it down. At some point he describes what clutch chatter is exactly.

It's when the clutch grabs again and again because there's no real slip, and you're not engaging it fast enough. That was lead me to believe that an unsprung puck hub would chatter more than a sprung hub. I haven't watched the video in a long while, so I'm going to watch it again.

BTW, I'm going to be running a 4.3, the sprung 6-puck with ceramic pads. I believe the pressure plate rating is 2200 lbs.

Yeah, that's what I thought too but ACT says differently. Now I have to decide which way to go, ACT w/ 6-puck or Fidanza 4.3. However there aren't many review on Fidanza but I know for fact the ACT 2600 w/ street disc has a very short life.

I love my fidanza 3.2. It just feels like it can hold the power. The guys who put it in stupidily didnt adjust the clutch right and with only 50 or so miles on it I slipped the hell out of it wondering what the hell was going on, but like said in the video it doesnt matter, the material doesnt glaze it goes back to normal, therefore my clutch is still in great shape.
