What's up all new DSM lovers, im new to the site and fairly new to the DSM scene but i have a 98 gst spyder that i built and swapped the transmission. Installed a stage 4 six puck competition clutch and it grabs nice, the clamping force is ridicoulous but for some reason it seems to make a chatter noise, now the noise goes away when i engage the clutch sitting in nuetral but kind of chatters when it is not and it does chatter when im in 1st gear sitting at a light. Also the car just shakes, i know this is a common thing i just want to make sure im not the only one, thanks and all the replies would be appreciated.

Did you replace the TOB with an OEM or plastic sleeved unit? If that bearing is bad it'll make noise when the clutch is not engaged.

Also, if your clutch disc is un-sprung, you will always have a certain amount of clutch chatter as the only thing that absorbs any vibration will be the clutch disc surface.

i made the mistake of using the one that came in my spec 6-puck clutch kit and it made a lot of noise when cruising when i pressed the clutch in the noise when away, I changed it for a oem one and it fixed the problem. As far as chatter if you clutch isnt broke in all the way it might get a little better.
