Spark plug gap at 40psi on a GT4294r

I am wondering what gap and plug to use (8 or 9's).
My friend did 640 at 35psi and 742 on a 70 shot NOS. I both the gap was with the 8's at .012"gap.
I think is too close.. No missfiring though. I am running the same setup. Any suggestions?

There's really no specific gap you should be shooting for, use whatever works with your setup. .012" is probably a good indicator that your friend has a pretty weak ignition system.

I have a very similar set up. My plugs were gapped at .22 on the dyno at 727 hp. I later bumped up to .24 without any misfires. I use stock coils with an MSD-DIS2.
Pretty standard.

been trying to look for more information on ppl who have used this turbo and its total capablities. i plan on going with a setup around this turbo when i return from iraq next summer... trying to get together the parts list so i can have them sitting at home when i come back on R&R


pretty much whats a good setup to go with using the gt4294r i.e. o2 sensor/manifold setup
