I hope I posted this in the right place. I am currently running a coil on plug setup with Denso iridium plugs. The instructions that came with my COP setup told me to gap the plugs at .24. I wanted to make sure this is recommended for this setup. My gas mileage hasn't been great lately and I'm trying to find the problem. I'm pretty sure I've been running really bad gas. This is the simple COP setup without the extra box system. The mods to my car are as follows

Air intake
2.5 Downpipe with cat delete and 02 sensor housing
Fuel Pump Rewire
Big 16g Turbo (to be installed in the next 2 weeks)

Thanks for any help.

I'm surprised you went coil on plug with a 16G, but anyway, the .024 is fine. That's not going to effect fuel economy much, if any. Most of us run gaps about that size. If you can go wider without spark blowout at full boost, it will be a little more efficient but i wouldn't expect miracles.

Thanks Bigbeans and GSTclipse69. I have plans down the road to run more boost, thats why I got the COP setup. I figured it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and get it, run it for now until I really need it for a high boost application. I will be honest, I got my Big 16g because during my 02 housing install, I broke that stupid stud when i took the turbo off. I didn't have what i needed to get it out at the time, so, I put the turbo back on. Instead of taking it back off again just to fix it, i"m better off taking that time to upgrade.

You know a COP set up would not be needed for until 600ish AWHP. Even then a cop with out a ignition box is useless. Either way like mentioned ngk bpr7es would be fine. I don't know why people are telling you to run .024. I run .025 with a bpr8es running 30+ pounds. .O28 is fine for what are running.
