Nice runs man what size DR are you running?

Nice passes, your car hooks pretty darn good from the hole. When you start using the dry shot to only stage the car for the 2 step she'll really start making good numbers. And slippi shhhhh about what's under the dash. LOL

Lol see I didn't even tell them where it was I was just gonna leave it at it's inside. Fear nit your secret is safe with me haha. Especially since I won't be switching to auto.

Sounds safe since you brought it up... :hmm:

To the OP;
Congrats on the setup, it's working great as you pointed out and also proved :hellyeah:.

Just put a cup on before you login here next time. :heystupid: ( < Not for you )

Great Job!!!

I also have an Auto talon Running 9.93 @138.

What size turbo are you runnning?

What convertor are you using, and what psi do leave at?

How many problems have you had with your trans/ stall since day one?

Your car moves out of the hole.. are you still getting alot of tire spin ?

It's an FP T4Z (HTA 67mm) in a divided T4 .84 hotside

I'm using an IPT built trans and convertor.

I have trouble getting the car to stall up really high without the nitrous. It will do it when the weather is cool but still takes way too long. With the nitrous on it stalls really quickly.

The car is leaving on 12-14psi and the 65 shot of dry. Seems to work just fine on drag radials but sure is spinning. Not terrible but spinning none the less.

I'm going to change the suspension tires and wheels over the winter. I have hopes of low 1.4's...

I'd like to hear about your setup... What are you running for motor/turbo setup? Engine management? The usual questions...

I run :

2.0l eagle, weisco hks 272's magnus intake
2-255hp 880 cc injectors ( I know Kinda small)
Straight Line Specialties Header/ turbo kit
T4 gt40 (SC61)
AEM
Precision Stall ( Used to have IPT stall )
A-tranmission city transmission ( Used to have IPT trans )
24.5 8.5 15 MH Slicks
stock struts w/ sprint springs
10 pt Cage

I easily get 10+ psi about 4 secs without nos

Best ET 9.93 Best mph 138
Best 60 Foot 1.43

I might go to the track tomarrow if the snow stays away..

That is the part that realy impresses me :applause:

I want to know how some people get by with stock suspension and others spend like 1500 just to get similar results:confused:

With the auto it's not really hard to do to preload the drivetrain. Hell I cut a 1.49 on drag radials and tokico struts and eibach sportlines... I think Jason/John 's TSI have been able to do 1.4X's on Nittos and stock struts as well...

A proper auto setup is bad ass!!!

Yeah I keep seeing more and more guys hopping on the auto bandwagon and I guess for good reason but this is a project car for me so in my eyes it kinda takes away from the fun of driving the car but that's another debate for another thread.

So when you taking her out to get that 9 sec slip?

Not any time soon... LOL

Alot of things are in the process of being changed to hopefully be ready to grab a hold of the 2g auto awd record which stands at 9.55@144 I expect to take hold of that in 2010...

After this track visit the owner wasn't exactly thrilled with me so it's not welcome back without some safety equipment. This car currently doesn't have ANY cage.

Weight is coming out, cage going in, a little more power on top... We'll see what 2010 brings. The Eagle Rods are in for the ride of their lives. I just hope they hold...

Well Tim ran his to like 740whp I think it was but that only got him to like 9.9x with a 2g awd. I know it's easier said then done but if I were you I would save up for Turbo tuffs.

Yeah and if you compare Tim's 1/8th mile to mine I was slightly quicker. I think he was making similar power to what my set up had...

I currently don't have any intentions on changing out the rods. The bearings are another story. LOL

Seems like a waste to go in there and change out rods bearings and not upgrade your rods with such a potent setup but again easier said then done. Money isn't falling from trees these days.

Money is not the problem. It's the fact that they arent showing signs of weakness yet. The Eagles are more the capable. (Scott from AMS went 8.9@155 on Eagles) When this gernades, and it will at some point, I'll build an Alum rod high compression 2.0... Until then it is what it is. The rod bearings WILL take a beating from a high powered car on a steel rod. That's the reason for a bearing change. The mains will remain, it's just the rod bearings getting changed out...(The block isn't coming out of the car)

If your talking about his evo/mirage(can't remember which it is) it's A LOT lighter than a 2g without a lot of weight reduction. You will need about 100whp more than him to run similar times due to your weight.

Yes I'm talking about his mirage. I'm not looking to run those times... Just deep nines. I think I can get 150mph out of this setup. Only time will tell, I'm still on a stock 2g head minus cams, still on low boost...
