That is insane... I wonder why the Evo guys aren't doing as good as us... My buddy with an 05 MR, he is at about 500 whp and 470 lbs/ft tq, and his 4g63T isnt handling it at all.... his car rides like crap, shakes really bad, but pulls like a raped ape. I thought those new 4g63's were supposed to be all bad ass even with the Vtec MIVEC crap?

It sounds like there are other problems there. Evo guys don't really have to do to much to get there and still retain all of the factory ride quality.

So tell me Paul, with all that power your making, do you find it easy to get it to the pavement with a FWD? The reason I ask is because I am aspiring to reach the Hp level's your currently at.

No, it's not easy at all. When I was making 330whp, I thought I had traction problems just because I could rip it all the way through 1st and the beginning of second. With 400whp, I spin through 1st, 2nd, and part of third, and I have nice, sticky street tires with a Quaife LSD.

I want to make more power than 400, so that prompted me to give up on FWD. I'm actually in the process of doing an AWD swap on my GST right now. I sure wish I would've just bought a GSX originally instead of a GST.

400WHP is just no fun when you can hardly use it. It almost makes me miss my T25, 14b and B16g set-ups that I used to have.....

I try to only post my uncorrected numbers outside of Colorado forums.

Altitude does make a difference, but what most shops in Colorado say and what I have seen, its more around 1.10-1.15 depending on the setup.
I went from 12.7@110 to 12.5@112 going from Bandimere to Firebird in Phoenix.
I thought it was 1 billion hp and 3 full seconds off of your 1/4 e.t. when coming out of the mountains ROFL
 
Again, without any changes, I went from 12.4 to 11.7 at San Angelo Raceway in Texas. And from 12.4 to 11.5 at Capitol Raceway in Maryland. So Altitude DOES make a difference. Seth was having issues. I once again will argue to the day I die on this. I have seen results both force inducted and N/A. A friends car saw 1.6 seconds faster in maryland. And 1.2 seconds faster in texas.

This is from a long time ago, but we made 410 wheel HP with an old school Mutt level 1 turbo, stock 2G motor, but with web cams on the PMS. Car went 11.7 at 114mph, but sputtered on the top end. Probably would have been good for 118+mph. Not sure if this helps, but it's at least another stat.
 
Just so everybody else knows, the correction factor for a forced induction engine isn't even close to the correction factor of a N/A engine.
