We were trying to get my stud off my hot side and were using a torch and ended up breaking it. Ok that's fine now we tried burning it out and this is what I'm left with..

So is this ruined? If so where can I get one?

File it flat, center punch it, start with a small drill bit, and work your way up in size. Keep it centered and well lubed. Eventually you will reach the threads. When that happens, use a pick and work what's left of the bolt out. If the threads are messed up beyond use, drill and tap for a bigger bolt, or have it welded up and redrilled and tapped for the right bolt.

Alright well I guess this project is gonna get a lil deep. I'm tryin to get that this drilled out now.

Well here's what I got accomplished with it so far I think there's some hope. Jusmx I will be in touch if I cannot accomplish the rest of my idea tomorrow.

If the drill bit starts walking off-center and drilling the housing instead of the bolt, stop what you're doing before you ruin what I'd be able to repair.

Also, if you're eliminating the flapper as well to run an external gate off the o2, plan on opening that wastegate hole as big as you can before putting this back on the car or you'll have boost creep out the asshole.

Decided to go with a new FP green instead of pursuing this any further. Prob just end up selling this turbo or something. But yeah can't wait for the new turbo to come in! Oh and thanks for those who chimed in.

I stopped repairing threads on housings for my cars, a long time ago. I just drill out the broken bolt, and use a smaller bolt, and nut combination. When they seize together, as everything in a turbo exhaust seems to do, You can break them, and the 2 halves just fall out.

Anti-seize is your best friend in these situations :thumb:

Yeah a more then likely cheap fix replaced by a 13oo purchase LOL. But yeah if anyone wants it to put in the time I'm not starving so I'd let it go cheap. It's an evo 3 16g and is best used with an external waste gate on the o2 housing.
