smoking

ok i was on my way to school today and my engine was smoking.
i could only glimpse before coming into school but it seemed to be on the left hand side underneath the normal battery campartment.
any ideas on if a hose around here busted causing steam or any other would be nice? im just paranoid and cant look till 6 o clock tonight so im just wanting ideas.

There some small fluid hoses that goes back there. I had a little leak from there once.

yeah this thing was smoking or steaming i couldnt tell which but it was a lot of it.
im really scared to find out later what it is haha

my car had a bolt loose from the manifold right on the bottom by the radiator, moisture was getting in there and smoking. Does it smell?

I don't believe I've ever experienced, or heard of someone experiencing moisture getting into the exhaust due to a loose bolt (as my GST had the same thing) and causing it to smoke like what's vaguely described. I'd lean more towards a leaking coolant hose, either from the Thermostat or the heater core hoses.

Does the smoke smell sweet?

could it be spilled oil from an oil change thats burning off the head?????
