Buttoned up the engine and tossed it in.

Jay Racing alternator relocation kit with saturn alt installed. I had to modify the spacer they included to get it lined up straight with the other pulleys.

Finished the VC and then painted it black.

Waiting for hardware to attach the flexplate before installing the trans.

Fitted the turbo kit last night. I'll start the downpipe and LICP fab once I get the trans & t-case on Friday.

Breeze Hi-torque SS clamps. Much better than a t-bolt clamp for aluminum piping.

I honestly haven't even done a bung yet. I will be adding a bung to my aluminum exhaust here soon, so i'll let you know...

Haha. The pan adds about 2 more qts. It greatly reduces trans temps

Installing that pan this weekend! Already put in Jeff Bush transfer gears. Did you upgrade yours? I have a couple spare sets to sell you if you kept stock ones, for when you inevitably brake a tooth or two off

Yeah its really nice!

Regarding the transfer gears, the ones in my trans are stock. It's just a standard build with clutches, shift kit, welded diff, etc.

Once I jump ship to my spare 2g trans, I will be sure it gets those gears and some other billet goodies from him

I just recently got the urge to get back into DSMs and actually came across 2 that a friend of mine had and lost interest in. Needless to say I am now the proud owner of a 92 5spd awd tsi as well as a 91 auto awd tsi (Both needing a lot of work). You're build is exactly what I have planned for my 1gb (cleanliness wise anyway. Leaving the fully built part for the auto) Awesome job, keep up the good work sir.

Still have a lot to learn on the welding side of things, but i think I can get by.

For those wondering, that is a uni filter. I noticed zero drop in power from going no filter to this unit on my Evo @ 40psi.

Did you do a back-to-back Dyno? I'm curious on their claim that it supposedly better than K&N. I'm looking for another filter that is more compact to replace my K&N but a little skeptical about this one. I wonder what kind of restrictions at 90lbs+ of air.
