1G Signs of a bad oil pump?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

It's hard to tell without the car running.
If the oil pump was disassembled it could be inspected and have the clearances measured.
If the car was running you could look at the oil pressure gage.
Otherwise really low oil pressure would cause wear in the crank and rod bearings, which could cause rod knock. Or low oil pressure could cause scarring and wear on the cam bearings.

Are you looking to buy a car that doesn't run?
