hey dsm tuners im pretty new to this site and already loving it , anyways i have a 1995 eclipse gs im thinking about putting turbo in it , i know a bit about what needs to be done i rebuilt the engine but to stock everything the car has no mods other then an intake , i understand i have to prepare the engine for it to resist the turbo , im wondering if its better to install one or just get a gst ? what do u guys think?:hmm:

If you go 4g63 car route get a GSX or Tsi awd. But personally I would build the 420a turbo kit from scratch. Heck if money wasn't an object you can even dump about 10k in it and do a evo 4g63 conversion like they do over in asia somewhere and there are even a couple of people in the US. But you also have to be careful of a 420a turbo very very easy to snap the rods with out proper care and a bad tune.

You spoke why???...

It would be cheaper in the long and probably short run if you jus buy a turbo.

Since the 420a was NEVER exported out of the Americas, why wild people in Asia be doing an evo conversion? All 2g's outside of the Americas were LHD and had either the 4g63 or 4g63t only. Only the Americas got screwed with the 420a.

Highly-debated topic. Search around a little using the links some have given above, as well as this forum:
