I bought a turbonectics front mount from a guy on here and its an older one but in pretty good shape, my question is does anyone have detailed photos or pictures of there install of their front mount while using a short route piping....what i need to cut? do i need slim fans? new aftermarket radiator? etc... ive been looking for awhile on a 1g short route intercooler install but its either a 2g or something else that doesnt help me at all... THank you for you time :banghead:

I will try and get some pics for you of my short route install tomorrow (unless someone gets theirs up first). I did need to cut holes on each side of the radiator for the pipe routing, and I shortened the PS line to get it out of the way. Slim fans will definitely need to be installed since the short route puts the piping right where the fans reside.

Basically, I have deleted the AC, removed the metal line that goes in front of the radiator with a short HP rubber line, removed the bumper to get easy access to the area that has to be cut for the FMIC pipes. Reinstall the radiator and run the pipes.

once again i did search and like the link you put it shows 2gs and doesnt really help with my 1g

It's going to be the same concept. You cut out the support where the outlet would be hitting. There's nothing magical about it.

Also, what front mount kit are you using?

Here are some pics that I took today, didn't want to vet into removing the bumper, but these should give you an idea:

This is the driver side. You can see where the hole was enlarged for FMIC input

Next is how the routing will look like, showing the necessity to remove the fans and use slim fans:

Here is the passenger side/output, the same hole (triangular) will need to be cut the same as he driver side:

Here is my slimfan, I stalled in a "push" configuration between radiator and front bumper

Everything else that you do for 2g FMIC installs will be te same

Hope this helped
