Shooting for high horsepower numbers...

Who locally in the STL area knows how to properly bore/hone with a torque plate, deck, align hone the mains and all of that other bullshit and can also build the motor to be able to handle my/our hp goals and also last longer than 20k miles. I just want that one big number, then I will turn it back down and will mostly just be driven on low boost and pump gas for around 380-400 whp.

Where is Allied at? You gotta remember, I live out in the sticks compared to you. I might make a trip up there to them today since I got rained out again and drop off my block.

St. Clair, that's down off 55 right? or 44? Either way, take 270-70 and go west. Get off at the first exit after the bridge (Fifth Street) then follow that down to First Capitol and make a left, it'll be down a bit on your right at the corner of First Capitol and 7th Street I believe.

Thanks buuuuuuuddy. Have you dropped off your motor there yet? I'd like to see how they are to deal with and what kinda price they would give me, yah know. I'll probably have them deck my head also after I get it ported and polished from a friend. Should be fun. I know I can only afford to get this motor done once and since I am dumping all of this money into the car I will probably have it forever unless I total it or something. My mod list is fairly similar to yours also. Here yah go

There was a large thread on the DSMLink board about problems with the 1600cc injectors. Go with the RC 1000 cc injectors, they're very popular and I haven't really heard of any problems with them. Furthermore, you're going to need some cams (I didn't see that listed). FP, Brian Crower, and DKS are all great choices with the latter two being cheaper than the FPs. As for your turbo, I would suggest looking into turbos other than a 60 trim if you're trying for really high horsepower numbers. If you want to keep the rev limiter near where it is stock, I'd suggest looking into a 60-1 variant or even a SC61SP if you aren't looking to go with a GT series turbo.

I forgot to list the cams also. I was just going to go with the DKS 272's. And the turbo is going to stay because, Hey, I already got it. Haha. I'll just see what I can do with it. Also, I'll take into consideration about the injector size. I just figured since I could compensate for whatever I wanted with an eprom and dsmlink, I should just go big or go home. Also, the rev limiter will also be raised to around 8k.

Even with DSMlink, there are some that are not happy with some 1600cc injectors. Some people are finicky about daily driving though. Everyone seems to be fine with the 1150s, and those are even may more than you need with that turbo. 1150s will let you max out a 67mm with ease

Nathan has it right there, some aren't happy with DSMLink and 1600cc injectors (not bashing DSMLink AT ALL). At that point you might be looking standalone.

Even AEM has trouble with 1600's, it's mostly due the crappy injector drivers they use. You won't need anything bigger than 850's with the 60 trim turbo, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little breathing room.
