Hello everyone,I just purchased a 1G RWD racecar. This will be an all out racecar. My Question what is the best all out camshaft combo for high hp.Looking for 900+.The motor has 7.5 comp rite now but will be changed to either 9.5-10.0.I want to spend money once.
Thanks again
Tony

Custom ground cams for your set up.

That way you can decide on your lift, duration and LCA.

This way you can have the power band placed for where your car needs it.

The info you need to have on hand is

> Flow rate of your head
> Rear gear ratio
> What trans you will run, and the known gear ratio of each gear
> Weight of the car with fuel and driver
> What kind of racing the car is for
> Measured compression ratio... not a guess or piston company say so
> Flow rate of the turbo used

I agree with bogus. The second best IMO is the kelford 272s they are monstrous;)

BogusSVO's response or Kelfords. End of story.

I put down 730whp with BC 280's THEN switched out to some Kelford 288s and put down 801whp.

I'll stick with the Kelfords.

Kelford 288's are 12mm of lift and GSC s3's are 11.7mm. I think either one will do the job. Didn't AMS do 800+ whp on there lil evo with GSC s3's on an auto?

I run FP5R/FP11 combo but they can only be made as custom billets now because there are no longer large enough cores available.

Thank you for the responces.
This motor is goin in a tube chassis rwd 1g.So the kelford 288 or the 280.The car weights 2100lbs.Just wanting to make good power.

That's Force Fed reds car, last I talked to him at the 4th annual meet he didn't have it dyno'd yet. That is messed up 918whp on 43psi. He's got more boost to run also 50psi if I'm not mistaken. That car has more tire slung in the wheel wells than my actual tire tread LOL. Sick car
Kelford 280x. Biggest drop in cam for our car available period.

I think that was Jessie's car from the York, PA area. The car is a 96 GSX. Probably just dropped the drive shaft.

We run Kelfords in Darrens car, 298/288. On our methanol motor it gave us 100+hp gain at 3-4 less psi vs some FP2's.

Edit: it also fixed all our head lifting issues...
