For those that don't have Facebook...

Jeff finally eclipsed (no pun intended) Shep's 7.70 1/4mi record to become the new quickest AWD DSM. 185mph from the auto is insane!

That's fast :applause:

Now all that's left is for someone to break Shep's record on a manual transmission. Boostin is getting pretty close...

Ive always wondered what warp speed feels like...:sneaky:

Nice!:applause:.

It's been a while since shep made that record, you know someones setup is stupid fast when it takes this long to surpass it, I wonder if Shep will get back to the dsm platform as a result, yeah I know, vary wishful thinking, but then again it's where he got his start in the transmission game, so who knows.

My thoughts exactly! Good job nonetheless Congrats guys!

Jeff Bush's post on this subject was 100% respectful towards John, pretty awesome to see tbh. He straight up said if Shep had the same tech they used today, his record would've been "unimaginably untouchable".

Also, it's a mid 7 second car. Auto, air shifted, dogbox manual, or synchro trans...anyone here except people already having been in the 7's would have one hell of at time just keeping the car straight and out of the wall or center line, much less do anything else. This whole "meh it's an auto so it's not impressive" stuff is getting really childish to where a mid 7 second DSM is being dismissed. Funny how salty some manual purists can be.

Anyone who says a 7 second AWD DSM isn't impressive is kidding themselves.

Jeff just shatter all hopes for Hondas to ever be quicker than 8.0 or high 7.9 's LOL. They probably look at this car and like yup should of gotten a dsm :D After 20 freaking plus years of hearing crank walk, how unreliable they are, and how old the vendors keep saying these cars are just so happened that they are still the fastest 4 cylinder and awd's in the world today. Sedan Evo's could do it but dsm can. These dsm gave birth and success to shops like sheptran, ams, english, buschur, Jacks tran and many more. Some who honors these car by still keeping it in their business but some abandon it like a step child -which gave fewer options for people who love these cars. They forgot who or what platform gave them success. Smh...

Congrats Jeff for pushing the envelope.
