So we made the power last week and run the times this week. Dont see that too often in the DSM world.

YouTube - ‪1000+hp 122cu 1993 Talon runs 8.63@161mph on 42psi no Nitrous English Racing ETS‬‏

Basic Combo for those that care:

-ER 2.0 Alum rod short block, 100% filled, 9:1 comp
-ER Head, Ported, Fully welded coolant ports, SS O-Ring with receiver groove, Copper gasket, GSC S3 Cams
-JMF intake manifold
-ETS Forward facing turbo kit with FP HTA 42R
-FIC Blue max 1650s Magnafuel 750 pump
-Spark Tech CDI ran in sequential setup
-AEM EMS Tuned by Lucas English. Would do DSMLink but AEM shifts the Auto
-Metro/ER Transmission 2g Auto
-Dogbox Racing upgraded 300M T-case with matching Drive Shaft Shop drive line

The car ran a best of 8.67@167 last year (Auto AWD MPH & E.T. record) and we have gotten close to 400lbs more out of the car this year. So if we dont break should be a fun year.

These times were no nitrous going down the track. We only used nitrous to stall the turbo. So as of right now our new 8.63 time is 42psi no nitrous VS our old 8.67 which was 46psi with 100 shot all the way down. Not too bad for the first runs of the season!

It was extremely exciting to be out there when history was made! We had so many stupid little gremlins it wasn't even funny. Who breaks a Q45 throttle body?? Oh, and still runs 8.63 with it? Lucas' new name is Lucas "MacGyver" English!

Congrats guys! Its bouncing out of the hole...is it the convertor being too tight? Im sure theres much more left in her.

Awesome guys keep up the great work.

Glad the t-case is working out for ya :D

Now spray that thing and show shep's record up

I had a great weekend doing the shakedown runs. Although the times showing are pretty awesome I was plagued with some TB issues and then at the end tire pressure problems and a alt taking a dump. All in all though I'm very pleased how the crew worked and how the car performed. There is gonna be some more passes in the near future working out a few more of the bugs.

As always I'm very thankful for those who help provide parts and services to support my program:

English Racing
Extreme Turbo Systems
Metro Trans (Builders of the worlds greatest and most dependable DSM auto trans PERIOD!!!!)
Spark Tech
Kiggly
Dog Box
STM
Forced Performance
GSC Cams
And of course my Pit crew. With out you guys this wouldn't be as easy as it is.

Thank you

"YEEEHAW look at that guy go." LOL

Announcers at brainerd are awesome to listen to as well. They say "Mitsubitchy".

Congrats, that is one fast car sir! What sort of power were you making through auto when you got to the track?

First pass out was on wastegate pressure (36 psi creeping to 38) 740 whp

Congrats guys on setting a new record!

I know it was mentioned by another member but do you guys plan on spraying it down track in the future?

Very nice way to start the season that's for sure.....

NOPE not in the cards at all. I have so much power still in reserve still it makes no sense to be crazy like that.

Damn thats so awesome, I'm pumped i was able to see the car at the English dyno day this year, the titanium piping looked the cats meow... Did you change the turbo placement? When i saw the turbo a few months back, it looked to be about a foot lower..why did you make the move? Congratulations on the record!

Turbo is still in the same location as the dyno day

Def no need to make things more complicated...........stick with what's working for ya :hellyeah:

I knew it was coming together Jeff. I'm impressed with those times this early. I can't wait to see it when it is dialed in. Actually I just can't wait to see it. I will either fly up there some weekend or perhaps if you are serious about an East Coast tour I could wait and see both you and Shawn. We will keep in touch.

Congratulations! Great start to the season. Why is the nose of the car bouncing around so much? That has to be killing the 60' and scrubbing off some E.T.. It almost looks like severe wheel hop? Was it spinning badly?

Congrats Jeff, that thing is moving and way more left for sure. Good job guys .
