Serious assistance needed... Flywheel bolts stripped out

What am i supposed to do now??? i was torquing on my flywheel bolts, and 2 of them stripped out and just started to spin... Completely ruined the bolts, and at the same time destroyed the threads on the crank.

You have to drill a bigger hole no matter what you do. It should be a easy fix. You still have a perfectly intact hole that should drill pretty easy thread well and insert your thread fix that you choose.

That is true but with a helicoil you are only drilling it 2mm larger. With a timesert you are easily going 4-6mm larger.

Helicoil all the way. Go to McMaster.com and search, they'll tell everything you need & all the size tooling to DIY. Helicoils are pretty darn hard, rockwell 42-50, to 200ksi. Harder than the crank (except the journals) and stronger than the bolts. And you should be able to do this without having to pull the motor.
