Seat Brackets [Merged 4-7] rails corbeau tenzo dad d.a.d. sparco bracket recaro

I bought my seats from checker auto, I believe they're APC seats. As far as brackets I found some on Ebay. The brackets do fit all but one floor mounting hole that i just gave up on. However with the brackets you felt as if you were sitting way too high so i trimmed the back an inch and re welded it. I could fabricate them more as your slammed against the center console and moving forward and back is a bit of a battle. Also the recline sucks as its just a turn dial, so theres no quick way to get something from the back seat.
So i only installed one because of the inconvenience.

Only picture I have that you can look at them is here http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-exterior-interior/265878-lower-window-trim-strip-paint.html

If they aren't a direc fit you could make them fit either by modifying the 3000gt brackets or making new ones. You could also see if the dsm bracket will fit on the 3000gt seat.

I think these would look sexy in my 1ga eclipse gsx.

the front seats look way to wide, you would probably have to make custom brackets. The rears wont fit for sure. I dont really like them much, maybe in a 2g. IF i were you i would put them on ebay sell them, since they look to be in great shape, and use the money to have your seats reupholstered? i bet you could get a good bit out of them on ebay?

These seats came out of a 1g 3000gt. Yea I use the search option so I don't really have to post a lot. I searched on this. I didn't really find anything. I was thinking that at least someone had to try to put the front seats of a 3000gt in a 1g dsm. I know the backs won't work. I wasn't talking about them. They just kinda in the picture. :thumb:

Just curious how some of yall have mounted your racing seats in the car? I have a Sparco Circuit Pro seat a with the side mounts, but found out this weekend that I can't simple mount it to the floor pan as I originally intended to.

Was thinking about building a base off of the original mounts (or purchase the flat seat base from Sparco), but that puts the seat at the same height as the stocker and would prefer a slightly lower position. Any thoughts? Or pics :D

Thanks in advance!

This is NOT my car, but I love the way these are mounted.

The last pic is from SBRs website.

I have a tube frame base for the seat with brackets for the seat and belts. This is welded to the cage and stock seat mounting locations.

I can't help but think those mounts above are FAR to weak to be safe in a crash.

I think the best way is just large tall bolts that go trhough the seat (with a giant washer) through the stock seat mounting position, and then bolted from underneath the car with another large washer. but thats just me.

Not sure if you are interested in anything like this. But Sparco makes seat mounts for a 2G for those seats. HERE is the link. I hope this helps out.

That's a very interesting design DGajre777. I do like how that is mounted, but unfortunately my seats do not have provisioning for the bottem mounts. At this point I'm gonna give the Sparco ones a shot and possibly build off that to get the seat positioned properly. If not that is a very promising start to making a base.

Does anyone know if 300ZX seats will fit in a 1995 Talon? Is there modifications that have to be done or will they just bolt in?

Welcome to zombie thread, it will not die. Must burn completely or sever head from body.

Sparco Torino seats completely fill the space in a 2G. If you forget to drape the seat belts over the seat bolsters when you get in, be prepared for the embarrassment of opening the door again to get the seat belt before driving off. And don’t drive off unbuckled just to keep from looking un-cool.
