I did some searching and a bunch of reading on the two CEL codes I have now...

P1105 -

I've got a decent understanding of this one. I'm going to check all the hoses/connections tomorrow, and try cleaning the terminals on the fuel pressure solenoid... if that doesnt work, I'm going to try bypassing the hoses on the solenoid.

My question is if bypassing this solenoid will have any negative effects at all? If it's not necessary, and bypassing it will keep the code away, can I just do this?

Also, I've had the P0505 code for a while now, so didn't notice at first that I had this code. I don't know when I got the code, but my boost gauge stopped working a night or two ago... I checked all the hoses then, and found nothing. Could this be related at all?

P0505 -

This code, after a bunch of searching/reading... I'm still not particularly sure what to do. The Mac Tools scanner said it was an undefined code... I read about an Intake Air Controller.

What kinds of things can I try to alleviate this code?

P0505-is idle control system malfunction according to DSMLINK. I believe is has to deal with the ICS motor.

Unplug your ics and test it with a multimeter. I have 2 ics's that are bad. 1 does not pass the ohm test while one does...The one that does still does not work properly thought as there is a second test that must be performed.

check vfaq.com and search for it

I searched through vfaq for the last 25-30 minutes... definitely found some interesting/useful stuff on there, but not quite what I was searching for at all.

What/where is the ICS motor exactly?

And any ideas on the other code/problem?

DmTaLoN's Idle Speed Control Test/Fix Page!

The ISC motor is right under the throttle body elbow. It should have a tan or black cap with a 6 pin connector on it. Unplug it. And do what it says in this link. If it tests out ok.... then plug the connector back in and have a buddy turn on the ignition but don't start the car. Just turn the key to on and watch the motor. Have him do it a couple times but separated by 20 seconds or something a piece. If the plunger on the ISC doesn't move or just vibrate then its bad. If it moves in and out then its good.

Alrighty; that definitely helps more with the P1105 code. Thanks. :)

As for the 0505, I'm still wondering if anybody can shed any light on that? As far as their experience, and if just bypassing it is a good idea or not?
