About to install a SAFC 2 in my 1992 eagle talon tsi. I've found a few writeups on the 2g install put nothing on the 1g install. I did find one for the galant vr4 which im assuming is the same as my car?

But what im really curious about is if i completely cut the wires from the stock harness and only solder on the wires to the Safc? Therefore completely over riding the ECU with the SAFC, or do I basically just splice the wire and also leave it connected to the stock harnes?

Also probably not a very intelligent question, but I do plug the harness back into the ECU once everything is hooked up correct?

The SAFC basically intercepts the signal before it gets to the ecu, modifies it, and returns the modified version of the info to the ecu hence why you need to cut the MAF wire and put the SAFC in series to that wire. You will thus need to hook the ecu harness back in as the signal still needs to be sent to the ecu.
