So, I dont know if I am poting this in the right spot. I just signed up for this site today, an not to sure how to use it yet. Ill just ask and maybe u can tell me where to go from here. I just bought a 1998 Eclipse GS-T Spyder for super cheap. I have never owned this kinda car before all mine where Chevy v-8, I thought i would give it a try. My question is the car is a 98, but I think the engine might be out of a 1st generation car. Is there anyway to tell by looking at it?? There is a number oon the block (6L3971) if that helps. Another thing, the coils are all in a line?? I thought the later ones are in a 1-4 pack?? any help would be great!! then ill ask the other guestions. First things first I need to findout what i got here.. Thanks for ## time.

I will as soon as I can im at work now. does the coil make a diff.? where is the cam sensor in the 2nd gen?? If its on the back of the head near the cam gears there is not one there, but, there is a pig tail on the harness that is right in that area. dond know is that is anything. There is a bunch of pigtails that aint hooked up to anything?? what do i need to take pis of?? what part of the motor do you need to see?? Ill take as many as i can.
