I haven't heard how Sam did this year. He helped me get a car home from CO last week then took off for nationals the following Tuesday. He isn't in that car in the pic though. He has two. That car took 2nd in max effort at last years shootout (WITH A t25!!). I'm not up to speed on SCCA rules but the other car is modified for a different class. Check the profile.

Sam was driving his SM car instead. TWO dsms trophies at Nats. I'm sure it's been awhile since that has happened.

Congrats guys. Glad to see some DSM's running in the SCCA. Unfortunately I let my ID card expire in 2023, and haven't run any events since. My last event was in Talladega Alabama in March 2023 and I placed DECENT for my class. I was on 205 street tires and running against Miatas in the same class. Couldn't compete with those too much. Since then it's been drag racing or jackstands for the millionth rebuild/reconstruction. I'm glad someone is out there killing it.

Sorry Sam (@ileagleracing ) I should have known that was your username. I’m going to look into integrating real names into the site for those who are okay with it.

Its amazing the DSM still produces wins and the chassis can still be worked on for such events! Great to see them progress more and more.

Thanks to those who are in the racing sector and put alot of time and effort into making a race car as its no easy job to do and takes allt of time, trial and error to get a setup.

XA is a class with few rules, mainly limiting to 200 treadwear tires and some minimum weights to give newer, heavier cars a chance.
Both Kyle and I ballast up 100+ pounds. The cool thing about the class is with $$ and sweat, pretty much any car can get competitive.
That being said you really gotta drive to beat some of the cars in that grid. I'll have to post a link to pictures once they get online.
30 year old 90's shitboxes beating modded modern Porsche, Lotus, M3, Evo, STI etc.
Now I just gotta do something about my 300whp and skinny 285 tires, .
At least I was the loudest DSM there.
