Hey guys, I've searched and searched but I've come up with "maybe" answers. I'm installing my scat rods with wiseco pistons and was wondering. Is there a certain way the scat rods are supposed to be installed? Any certain direction? Or just make sure the dot on the pistons face to the front of the motor? Please help, I wanna get my baby running. thanks in advance

It doesn't matter which way the tangs are facing on the inline motors really. Just make sure the dot on the piston is facing the front of the motor (TB side)

I will chime in because I am actually running SCAT HBEAMS and I assembled the motor myself. With that said what everyone stated about the pistons and the dot facing the timing belt is 100% correct but the above quote is incorrect. The rod bearing tang goes towards the exhaust manifold side. Hope I caught you in time to make sure they are installed correctly.

I spoke with Alex from SCAT and he said it dosent matter which way because each rod has its own journal. He said only on the motors that share the same journal you have to install them facing forward. The inline motors dont share the same journals
